Policy Standards & Scoring

The Republic of Aksana holds standards to which can be viewed as strict by many external viewers, as out of over 30,000+ micronations, less than 5% meet the basic criterias. All the standards will be documented below. The Republic of Aksana manually determines if a micronation meets all the criterias, however the criterias remain public for all micronations to see to determine how they will be graded to meet informal relations. Every standard of the Republic of Aksana is graded by category individually determining, rather than combined overall scoring, every category (being policies) being graded on the same system of:

  • 100% - Category met, determined that micronation meets criteria of certain category.

  • 75% - Category mostly met, determined that micronation partially or mostly meets criteria of certain category.

  • 0-50% - Category not met, determined that micronation doesn't meet criteria of certain category.

Reason for Strict Foreign Policy

The Republic of Aksana holds many policies which have received controversial or opposing viewpoints, however, the Republic of Aksana holds policies to separate the minority of micronations which meet the standards, which the Republic of Aksana views as easy to follow for any micronation that is functionally stable or self-reliant, from the majority of micronations which are not stable, dependent of other sources, etc.

Informal Relations Only

The Republic of Aksana does not hold formal relations with any micronation, and any micronation that requests formal relations will be immediately declined regardless if a micronation meets the criteria of the Republic of Aksana or if it does not meet the criteria. Only few micronations may be exempted from this category, however by choice of the Republic, exemption may not be requested by any micronation.

MicroWiki Zero Tolerance Policy

The Republic of Aksana, although the namesake, refers to more than MicroWiki. The policy holds a zero tolerance policy for microations that cite MicroWiki, Fandom, or any other Wiki-type site as their official website for information. Any micronation that does not hold a website, holds an unclean not easily navigable website, or majorly empty devoid of content website does meet foreign policy of the Republic of Aksana. This policy has received mixed reactions, however exists to separate micronations that can self-rely away from micronations that are dependent on publicity of a wiki. No's to micronations are:

  • Single-Page Micronation Websites

  • Based Soley on Social Media Platform (ex. Twitter or Discord)

  • Wiki-Type Websites (MicroWiki, Fandom, Wikipedia, Personal Wikis)

  • Micronation Websites Containing Bare Minimum Information

  • Wiki-Dependent Micronations

Reassurance Policy

The Republic of Aksana holds the requirement for a micronation to have over 5 months of history, or if not, a well-developed structure rapidly grown in-real life (not online), with real physical non-ai or non-digital symbols. The reassurance policy holds minimal categories with the Assurance Policy overseeing the key part of assurance, with the reassurance policy only backing up the assurance policy.

Assurance Policy

The Republic of Aksana holds an assurance policy, similar and closely related to the reassurance policy, which is divided into two sub-policies. Part A of the Assurance Policy insures a micronation does not hold any formal or informal relations with simulationist, roleplay, or digital micronations, as the Republic of Aksana deems recognizing a digital micronation as non-assurance to ones ability to correctly run a micronation. Part B of the Assurance Policy looks into the government of a micronation and its internal affairs to determine its: Government Structure Functionality, Officials Professionalism, Social Media Professionalism, Stability of Government and Micronation, among more.

Outlook Policy

The Outlook Policy is a key policy of the Republic of Aksana, looking into: Micronational Militaries, Micronational Relations, International Law Violations, among more. The Outlook Policy refers not only to your micronation, but also micronational officials involved in the micronation. An example of two micronations that violate every basic concept of the Outlook Policy are the proclaimed micronations, commonly seen as simulationists or micronational terrorists, the microations of "Zeprana" and "Almendria" by Tizian Aruna and Terry McKeen III, two micronationalists who were formerly known between 2022 to 2024 for neo-nazism, terrorism, among more, which factors such as that are considered by this policy.
